The website

As a part of a great team, I helped deliver another great work.
Marshall Amplification are industry leaders in the design and manufacture of guitar amps.
The old Marshall Portugal website didn’t transmit values, innovation and reliability, characteristics of the brand.
We were responsible for the design and development of the new website representative of Marshall in Portugal. Garret Audiovisuais, the company Marshall is represented by in Portugal, was involved in the process.
Marsahll Amps takes their image really serious, they have a very cool website, with a great design.
We couldn't differ completely and we couldn't present an inferior design.
What a challenge huh?
We targeted for a good UX, with a unique menu and layout a bit familiar to what they already had. Marshall family liked it, Garrett apreciated it and we felt really good.

THE PRODUCT OWNS THE SPOTLIGHT

We followed the official Marshall website communication line while bringing new website to life.
Our design is able to communicate a contemporary image and reflect the values linked to the brand such as well designed, functional and full confidence.
This new website is fully responsive and mobile friendly, allowing access on mobile devices.


THE COLOR SCHEME

Marshall’s logo is their name handriten in pure black n'white. In order to keep a clean appearance, we just added a 'goldenrod' yellow. The remaining choices for the scheme are neutral colors adding elegance and performance. The pictures on the website are very beautifull. Marshall's design is brilliant at creating these pictures. They add all the irreverence one need to feel like a Rockn'Roll star.

LESS INTRUSIVE MENU

We wanted to add a touch of elegance, so we created a super simple but offstream menu.
No bells or whistles, just a touch of detail. We used the 'burger menu' standart design and modifyed the way it works.
We also eliminated the background of the menu, and gave a background to each item on the list. It gave the menu a less intrusive 'hud'.


MOBILE FRIENDLY

A brand’s online presence is only as good as the user likes it.
Our approach was to design and build a website that is entirely responsive and mobile-first. This way, the user can access Marshall’s website on any device, whenever they want.

The design process was one focused on rigor and detail.
The brand 'Marshall Amps' was to be presented by those pages, and it's hard to claim your product's excelence if your website says otherwise.
Every person visiting this website will know that what matters is Marshall's products. They own every aspect of the website.
